Ingredients :

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Walden Farms Original BBQ Sauce
  • 4 slices light cheddar cheese, cut in half and folded
  • 8 large Boston lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup Walden Farms Thousand Island Dressing

Instructions :

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Season the ground turkey with salt and pepper, then divide into 8 portions. Shape each portion into a half-inch-thick patty.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook turkey patties for 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Transfer patties to a foil-lined baking sheet.
  4. Brush each turkey patty with 1 tablespoon Walden Farms Original BBQ Sauce and top with a folded piece of cheese. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  5. Serve each burger in a Boston lettuce leaf, topped with half a slice of bacon, diced tomatoes and onions.
  6. Drizzle with vinaigrette Thousand Island from Walden Farms on assembled lettuce leaves.

Notes:

Tip: For variety, use halved grape tomatoes instead of diced tomatoes.
