Keto Strawberry Donuts - Keys Nutrition

A tasty low carb strawberry donut recipe! 🍓
Ingredients for the Doughnuts:
- 2 cups almond flour (available here)
- 1/2 cup sweetener (available here)
- 2 tablespoons unflavored protein powder (available here)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 can Simply Delish Strawberry (available here)
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 2 oz of softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup 14% sour cream or 10% Mediterranean yogurt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 10 fresh or frozen strawberries
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. water
- 2 egg whites
Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter a 12-cavity doughnut pan (or two 6-cavity pans) and set aside. In the bowl of a food processor, place and mix well the almond flour, baking powder, protein powder and your Simply Delish Strawberry packet. Set aside. Using a blender, puree strawberries with lemon juice and water. Set aside again. In a microwave-safe container, melt cream cheese and butter alternately for 30 seconds to avoid burning the cheese. Mix well. Add vanilla extract, sour cream and sweetener, mixing again. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients in the food processor and process until very well combined. Then incorporate the strawberry puree. Once combined, fold in the egg whites until smooth. Use a pastry bag without a tip to line your donut pan(s). Bake for about 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before removing from pan. (if not, doughnuts will fall apart)

Ingredients for the Glaze:
- 4 fresh or frozen strawberries
- 2 tbsp. sweetener (available here)
- 2 tablespoons 35% cream or unsweetened coconut cream (available here)

In a blender, puree the strawberries with the sweetener. Add the 35% cream or coconut cream while blending again. Pour this mixture evenly over the unmolded and cooled doughnuts. Enjoy! 🍓
